Honors

The North American Catalan Society (NACS), with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull, develops programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening the presence of Catalan studies in North America. Through awards, scholarships, and academic chairs, it seeks to recognize scholarly research, foster mobility, and promote the dissemination of the Catalan language and culture at universities in Canada and the United States.


NACS Awards

The North American Catalan Society awards two prizes that recognize excellence in the field of Catalan studies: the Prize for the Best Article published in Catalan Review and the NACS Prize for an Outstanding Work in Catalan Studies.

PhD Grant in Catalan Studies

The Institut Ramon Llull and NACS announce a scholarship to support graduate studies and promote Catalan studies at universities in the United States and Canada.

NACS Chair

The NACS, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull, promotes the NACS Chair to encourage academic and artistic residencies at universities in North America, with the aim of disseminating Catalan culture and training new generations of scholars.
